Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, the College of Early Childhood Educators is in the process of updating its website to better reflect the new legislative changes. A complaint against a member expresses concern(s) about that person’s conduct or actions relating to professional misconduct, incompetence or incapacity. Do you have concerns about a member’s conduct or actions? If you wish to file a complaint against a member, complete and submit the
Complaint Intake Form.
If you have concerns about a licensed child care program’s compliance with the requirements set out under the
Child Care and Early Years Act, you may contact your local Ministry of Education -
Child Care Quality Assurance and Licensing regional office.

Proceedings of the Complaints Committee are confidential, but certain decisions related to a Memorandum of Agreement are available on this website.
A three-member panel of the Discipline Committee conducts public hearings into cases of alleged professional misconduct and/or incompetence. The panel is composed of both elected and appointed Council members.

A three-member panel of the Fitness to Practise committee conducts hearings regarding allegations of incapacity. The hearings are closed and the decisions of the Fitness to Practise committee are not publicized.
